地下鉄に乗っていたこの心優しい日本人の少女は、立ち上がって老人に席を譲りました。混雑した地下鉄の中で、ずっと老人を立たせていることなどできませんでした。 この老人の正体に気付いた少女の身に、信じられないことが起こります・・・ それは日本の首都の、いつもどおりの日でした。職場や学校に急ぐ人々で、地下鉄はごった返していました。 ラッキーなことに、ひな（19）は時間どおりに自宅を出ていました。学校に行くには長い間地下鉄に揺られていなければならなかったので、彼女にとって地下鉄で席を確保することは不要なぜいたくではありませんでした。 地下鉄に乗り込んだひなは、すばやく周囲に目を走らせました。ほとんどの席が埋まっていましたが、1つだけ空席がありました・・・ 何とか間に合いました。1分でも遅ければ座る席はなくなり、目的地に着くまでずっと立っていなければならなかったでしょう。 でも今日は、忙しい美術学校の学生としての一日がまた始まるまで、ちょっとリラックスする時間ができました。 少なくとも、ひなはそう思ったのですが・・・ ひなが座ってからまだ15分ほどしか経っていませんでしたが、地下鉄がある駅に到着しました。また人々がどっと乗り込んで来ました。 長い列の最後尾に、杖を突いた高齢の男性が並んでいました。老人は、ドアが閉まる直前に何とか地下鉄に乗り込むことができました。
